Call My Name © 2007 Larry Suess

  1. I hear the rhythm of the pitter patter rain upon my roof

Reminding me that spring is coming, as if I needed proof

I hear the rumbling of the rolling thunder as the storm is drawing near

All of nature’s sounds like the babbling brook are music to my ears

But there’s only one sound that I love more than all nature can exclaim

That’s the sweet sound of your soft voice when I hear you call my name

  1. Wind in the trees is melody that s different every time

Rising and falling in harmony with a melody sublime

You know I love the powerful sound of a rushing waterfall

That echoes through the canyon like it was a spacious concert hall

But there’s one sweet sound

That I love more than all nature’s sound untamed

That’s the sweet, sweet sound of your soft voice when I hear you call my name

(Bridge):

Yea, call my name, I’ll come on a run, lulled by a sound, I get overcome

All of nature’s beauty can’t compare

To the sound of your voice whispering sweet, sweet words that you say to me

Pulls me in like a moth to a flame when I hear you call my name

(Repeat I)
